Massage Therapists

FullSizeRenderEmily Madden:

I am a Port Townsend native and a graduate of the Port Townsend School of Massage. I have always been drawn to natural healing and pro-active health-care. I approach each session individually and intuitively, engaging my skills in Swedish Massage, deep tissue, and myofascial release, while incorporating some assisted stretching when needed/desired.  I believe massage plays an important role in one’s health and well being and look forward to working with you.

ShannonShannon Ryan:

I have been immersed in the study and practice of the Healing Arts for over 15 years. I received my 700 hr massage training through The Santa Fe School of Massage in Santa Fe, NM, and have earned over 1000 additional hours in subtle bodywork education, including Cranial-Sacral Therapy. A Life-long practitioner and teacher of yoga, qigong, and meditation, I am deeply devoted to nurturing the awakening and emergence of core essence. I serve as a midwife of the Soul in my healing and teaching practice, as well as through my work with hospice as a comfort therapist. I specialize in subtle bodywork, energy medicine, and deep relaxation massage.

I am a Seattle native who called the San Juan Islands home for 4 years before moving to Port Townsend. I studied at Cortiva School of Massage in Seattle and have a degree in Molecular Biology from UW. I have run several laps in the complex study of health, physiology, and the development of human potential. In massage, I like working intuitively at all depths. My touch is sensitive to Myofascial motility, Cranio-sacral, energy, and is especially tuned to that perfect pressure “hurts so good” Swedish style depth. Outside of massage I am an avid student of martial arts, dance, swimming, and perceptual development.

Heather Hanson:

Prior to studying at the Port Townsend School of Massage and becoming a massage therapist, I worked as a social worker, primarily with survivors of trauma. That work taught me how our bodies hold our experiences and how bodywork can help us process those experiences. I am committed to creating a safe space for my clients to heal – whether it be from chronic pain, acute injury, or just from the stresses of life. I will tailor sessions to the clients’ needs: I am trained in Swedish, deep tissue, and myofascial release.

Jennifer Benedict:

I am blessed to have found home by the Salish Sea at the foot of the majestic Olympic Mountains. I love to ease people’s pain and empower them in their healing. I enjoy easing anxiety and bringing balance in body, mind and spirit. I am an intuitive energy worker and Reiki Master/Instructor trained in herbalism, aromatherapy, and Therapeutic Touch. I am a graduate of Port Townsend School of Massage with additional training through Upledger Institute for Craniosacral Therapy. I provide Swedish and Deep Tissue Massage, Myofascial Release, Craniosacral Therapy, Reiki and Chakra Balancing. I approach each massage with reverence and respect for the individual.

Wendi Robinson:

I am a native of the Pacific Northwest and a graduate of the University of Washington and the Brenneke School of Massage.  I have over 15 years experience in the massage industry and consider my work to be a blend of Swedish, deep-tissue and myofascial techniques.  One of the things that I most enjoy about massage is working with my clients to create a unique and individual experience that meets their changing needs with each session.  When not working, I love being in the outdoors.  In the summer months you’ll find me kayaking, photographing our local wildlife, and scouring the beaches for seaglass.  In winter, I enjoy cooking and snuggling by the fire with my furry ‘kids’ and a good book.

Sheana Livingstone:
My goal is to bring your mingd and body back into balance with one another. It is easy to forget about certain areas of the body, which in turn enables our bodies to get stuck in certain postures that can cause discomfort. During a massage session I use the foundation of Swedish massage in combination with deep tissue work to tune into the spots on the body that need deeper attention to bring you back into awareness of your posture, as well as leave you feeling amazingly relaxed and grounded.

I am a Pacific Northwest native and completed my 900 hour Therapeutic Massage program at Centerpoint Massage and Shiatsu School and Clinic in Minneapolis, MN. I have received extra training in Thai massage and Myofascial Balancing. I truly believe in the body’s ability to heal, and love assisting each client with their unique process toward feeling their best.

Sophia Petricola:

With 700 hours of massage training from the Port Townsend School of Massage and Triple Gem School of Thai Massage, and with 5 years experience teaching Yoga, my utmost goal is to facilitate a safe space for you to feel well, nourished, and grounded in your body. I offer individualized and intuitive sessions to help you experience your body with more ease; creating space for you to feel nurtured. My training is based in Swedish and Deep Tissue massage, as well as myofascial release and treatment work; but you’ll always benefit from my foundation in rhythmic Thai massage, as well as from my practice with energetic Yogic anatomy and Ayurevda. Wherever in your journey, I am honored to hold space for you.

Mackenzie Renkert:

I am a Pacific Northwest native and graduate of the Port Townsend School of Massage.  I am fascinated by the relationship between the body, mind and spirit and how each one of us is a creative portrait of these intertwining elements.  I am here to hold healing space for you to process being a human and to cultivate love, creativity and wellness in your life.  I will listen to your body and work with you to inspire deep relaxation with Swedish massage and intentional deep tissue work.  I am honored to work with you!

Lucy Obetz:

Originally from New Hampshire, my family and I relocated to Port Townsend with the dream of living in a small town by the sea.  I attended the Port Townsend School of Massage in 2015 and have been practicing bodywork ever since.  My background as a yoga teacher, athlete and doula all contribute to my fascination, excitement and reverence for the body.  In every session I aim to create a safe and welcoming space for healing and relaxation. I love to listen and collaborate with clients helping you move toward health goals and finding a greater sense of wellbeing.  While my training is rooted in Swedish and Deep Tissue techniques, I have additional training in Myofascial Release and in working at a deeper level with the neck.  When I am not practicing bodywork I can be found chasing my toddler, running, and enjoying this beautiful place we call home!
